Goodbye Friend
Trooper passed away last night. He was laying in his favorite spot on the couch when he died and looked peaceful. I don't think he suffered in the end. I was grateful to be able to say goodbye to him last night and sit with him for awhile-I just had a feeling. I think he died shortly after I went to bed. He was such a good boy and even in passing he made it easier on us. We buried him at the farm this morning in a quiet peaceful spot.

I am so sorry Lorrie! I know how much it hursts to lose a part of the family like this. My prayers are with you guys as it's hard to say goodbye.
Oh Lorrie, I'm so sorry for the loss of Trooper. You did everything you could for him, and thankfully passed peacefully. He has left you all happy memories of him, and love.
oh Lorrie!! I am just in tears...I am so sorry for your loss. I just tried to call you but my phone is dead..I'll try again once it recharges a bit.
Thanks, everyone. It just seem so lonely in the house without him. It was sad to not have him greet me at the door when I got home today. Also, seeing his dishes and dog food and meds. just makes me cry all over again. I know it gets easier, but for now I just miss him so much!! Plus, it is so hard to see the kids and Jon (who is having a very hard time with it) so sad-it breaks my heart all the more.
So sorry to hear of your old friend passing on. I can't believe how fast he went. Big hugs coming soon.
I tried calling you today..I didn't leave a message as I knew I would start bubblering in the phone....been thinking about you guys all day! So emotional...
