Off to the Fair!

There is something so incredibly precious about bringing a 1 year old to a fair.  Everything is so new to them and taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells for the first time is priceless.  Our little Cora K. loved everything about it, especially the animals.  She wanted to climb right into the stalls with them and they didn't make her at all nervous.  Even the loud ducks didn't faze her a bit.

The handsome men in my life.
She also enjoyed the crappy fair food...a little too much.  Here she's hanging out eating cheese curds and hot dogs.
Here's my other baby girl, who is not so little anymore!
Here's she enjoying a mound full of soybeans.  I took my shoes off to walk in them and couldn't stand it!! It was creepy and ticklish!

We have pictures of all three of the other kids at about 1 year on the carousel, so I couldn't wait to get Cora on there for her turn and see if she loved it as much as the others.
 She did.
Here she had the giggles everytime she saw daddy and her siblings....so adorable!
The boys enjoyed a few rides, too.

Here she's trying to kiss the bunny...
and the horse.  It will be fun to see if she keeps that love of animals over the years.  We may just have to buy her a pony ;)
I love that I can still experience the fair through little ones joy.  And you never know, by the time Cora is older, I may just be going with my grandkids! Crazy.

"Fun Days"

I am not quite sure why, but this year I hardly took any pictures of the kiddos on our town's annual fun days.  Maybe it's the fact that I have a one year old and can't juggle holding her and a camera at the same time.

For our parade float, we went low key and did a beach type theme.  We recycled and used Cora's party decorations and the kids wore swim suits.

This was the girls' second time in the parade as they were just little bitty babies last summer. I'm not sure what they thought of it all, but I think they enjoyed it after awhile (:

Here is Jon at the tractor pull.  Jonnie and Sawyer decided not to do the kid pedal tractor pull, so this is it!

So, as always, it was a fun day and seemed very relaxed this year.  We wrapped up the day watching an Elvis impersonator which was hilarious!  The kids enjoyed dancing around.

My boy is growing up...

Every year during our towns "Fun Days" my husband, his dad, and brother participate in the antique tractor parade.  This year Jonnie wanted to be in it driving his own tractor.  I was nervous because Jon hadn't had time to practice with him until about an hour before it started.  Jonnie was nervous, too which made me all the more nervous!  However, I didn't need to worry as he did an awesome job and I was so proud of him!
I think he was feeling pretty proud himself.
 Here's Jon and Sawyer.

 And Jonnie again...
He is growing up so much these days and soon will be 12!
Great Job Jonnie!
