Glasses!

Before I post my thanksgiving pictures, I wanted to put these on since I have been meaning to. First off, for those that don't know.....Jonnie got glasses! He looks handsome in them and so far he has been very responsible.

Also, here are a few pictures of Alaina's concert. The sixth grade orchestra has diminished by about half from last year. Every year it gets smaller and smaller. I am proud of her for sticking with it. She really loves the cello. She did a great job up there.

Tomorrow I will have Thanksgiving pictures after I get together with my side. I know you will be anxiously waiting (;

Wrestler?

This is the second time in as many weeks that my son has colored all over himself. All he can say as to why is that he is a wrestler. Not sure what this kid is watching to think that this is what wrestlers do or look like. I don't think he has ever seen wrestling!

Notice the lipstick and the circle around one nipple (;

Now this takes some skill.
The best part was he colored his little boy parts, as well and each individual toe-HILARIOUS!!

Happy Birthday Jon

It's hard to believe I am married to a 37 year old. It seems like we should still be in our 20's doesn't it birthday boy?

Since Jon was combining corn on his birthday and they are behind, the kid's and I brought his party out to him. I made him a Hot Milk Cake-his favorite and Alaina made him a chocolate cake she decorated herself (his other favorite). Since the chocolate cake wasn't done yet, we just took out the milk cake and his presents to the field.

Here is pictures of the gifts Sawyer picked out. When shopping, Sawyer saw these shirts and got really serious and said, "He would think these are so cool." Well, since they were super on sale, I couldn't resist. When Jon opened them Sawyer's face was just beaming (:

I bought him a flashlight, some clothes, and long underwear. He seemed happy (:

Later when they were finished for the night, Karen (his mom) made him a steak with potatoes, etc. He was very happy and said it was one of his best birthdays. I was surprised because he was in the field all day, but he said he felt loved. Mission accomplished.

Happy Birthday again, Jon. You are very loved.

She did it!

Alaina got her ears pierced! I've been meaning to post this all week as I am proud she did it. She has had no interest in getting them done and I told her when she is ready I will bring her. The fear of pain has always stopped her in the past. Now, the draw to buy cool earrings has over rode the pain factor and she woke up last Saturday and announced she was ready. I was excited, but honestly thought she would back out when we got there. But I do know that once she makes up her mind on something there is no stopping her.

Here she is sitting on the stool waiting....she was so happy I brought my camera along, can't you tell? The lady helping us told her, "well she could of brought the video camera" but that didn't seem to help. I also told her she would be thankful someday that I like to take pictures of all her life events (:

Prepping her ears.....she loves me.
One, two, three.......and they are in! No tears at all.
Here they are right after. She picked out some cute little pink flowers.
Here they are all red and swollen (:
Now she is happy to pose as she LOVES having earrings. She has already told me there are some cute x-mas ones she would really like! I love that I can buy her earrings now (:
It's going to be a long 6 weeks until she can take these out and put in different ones-I remember that long wait. She is so funny and responsible about it all and has created a six week chart for her to remember to clean her ears 3 times a day.

One more step in growing up.....sigh...

Finally...

A beautiful sunny day!! I was in a much better mood than I have been all week. What a difference the sun (and fresh air) make. Honestly it was only 50 degrees today, but it felt like 70 to us with the sun. Sawyer and I spent hours outside playing hide and go seek, tag, going on a bike ride, and brushing Dex-you would not believe the hair I got off that guy!! It felt wonderful!
Yesterday Sawyer and I went shopping for a new pair of shoes as I have been trying to get him to not wear his CARS Lightening McQueen crocs anymore and they are finally getting too tight. He has been wearing them since summer of 08. He loves them, obviously. I told him it was his choice as to what shoe he wanted, so after looking at some really cute shoes he chose these: Take a guess and see if your right.

If you guessed CARS Lightening McQueen shoes you were right! When I saw these I honestly tried to hide them-they were my least favorite. But to my horror, the sales lady was soooo helpful and pulled these beauties out and told Sawyer that there were lights on them. That was all she needed to say as his little eyes lit up with delight. I knew right then which shoes we were going home with. I noticed that it was buy one get one half off, so I also bought him some adorable shoes that I am crossing my fingers he will wear. I guess I will have to get used to these.

Besides he can run really, really fast and he can do crazy moves with these cool shoes!I just love this picture...Dex is always watching out for his boy.

Halloween!!

It was a dark and scary night.......well, actually day.....and the ghosts and goblins came out for a party.
There was a tiger (Tucker).
A Rock star, disco diva (Kate) and, uh, well a crazy girl (not sure what else to call her :)).
The party was hosted by a wicked witch (Melanie).
Bumble Bee the Transformer showed up, too. Well, actually he lived there.
Miss America and Dorothy attended, as well.

There was lots of fabulous food.

and fun activities!

Bobbing for apples....sorry the picture is so fuzzy.
Little Levi woke up to enjoy the party. He had on cute little pumpkin jammies.
Uh, can't move here.....someone, anyone.......
They trick-or-treated after the party at the nearby houses.

And here is the crew. Kate, Hunter, Levi, Jonnie, Sawyer, Alaina, and Tucker.Later that night we headed back to our hometown and trick-or-treated around the neighborhood. Sawyer LOVED it and ran and ran saying, Awesome and showing daddy and I every candy he got. I love seeing all their excitement. Even if it is excitement over candy.

We finished the day off at the community center for apple cider and the Haunted House. The only one of my kids to go in it was....Sawyer. The other two wouldn't. The first time down was with Kate and I actually screamed when a goblin snuck up behind me.
Hope everyone else had a great Halloween. Can't wait to see all your pictures!
