Bye Bye Baby

My "baby" had a big weekend and took a couple more steps towards boyhood.

First change, is that he is officially an underwearer (: He loves it and feels so big (as he repeats this over and over). We were unable to find Spiderman underwear yet, but Cars did just fine. I also bought him some boxer briefs just like his daddy wears-he thought that was pretty cool!

Is there anything cuter than a toddler in his first pairs of underwear?

The second change, he has moved into his big boy bed. This step left me a little teary-partly because he was so darn sweet and excited about it all and partly because he is growing up so much. Can you tell how happy he was?

He loved his first pillow (:

He even actually asked to take a nap today and just crawled right in and went to sleep. Same thing tonight for bed. Oh, how I love this kid (:
I had myself convinced he was getting RSV, but he seemed much better today. I normally wouldn't jump to that conclusion, but a little guy at the sitters had it last week. I am sure he just had a cold (: Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

What I saw walking by the bathroom tonight......

I guess he decided to skip the potty chair and do a big boy stand and pee (: I will probably have to buy twice the Clorox wipes now! After this he was so sad that he peed all over his shirt and socks, but I was so proud of him for even trying-he wants to be like his big brother so bad (:

Happy Friday, Part 2

Jonnie wasn't thrilled with the last picture, so here is another one with a little more testosterone.

Happy Friday!

Love the Swanson GIRLS!

Finally!

Finally it the temps reached 30 degrees today and we were able to go sledding for the first time this winter! It's hard when you have all this snow but it is too cold to be outside. We had a blast and Jon and I laughed till we cried at some of the jumps in the air, near misses into the trees, and not so near misses, and my all time favorite when Jonnie just kept going and going and I swear he had to walk almost a mile back up the hill!

Sawyer was a little nervous to go down the hill.

Here we go! I giggled the whole time and Sawyer was totally serious-I wish I could have seen his face. Afterward he said "no more, me no like it." I got my leg workout today as it was A LOT of work getting back up the hill-esp. carrying him!

There goes Alaina...

and Jon and Jonnie having a race-Jonnie won as Jon seemed to have absolutely no control over his sled and would end up all over the place!

Alaina and I went down together-can you see us down there-did I mention it was a looong way back up the hill.

Sawyer was happy watching and playing in the snow-here he made a cute little snowman (:

We finally talked him into sledding down again with Alaina-he was game and liked it better this time. I took him down a smaller hill after this and he loved it.

Jon and Jonnie again right before they wiped out at the bottom.
This was just what we needed to get us through for awhile......tomorrow we are back to a high of 8-at least it was fun while it lasted....
