The buzz around town is......
There was a spelling bee! A mother brag moment.....Alaina was one of 12 twelve kids who qualified out of all the 4th grade classes, so that alone is great! She did not win the bee and the word that she got out on was cement. As soon as I heard her say "s.." I knew it was over (: What is it about spelling bees that are so intense? I am very proud of her.

I do find spelling bees to be extremely stressful to watch too. I can only imagine the stress level when it's child up there!
Alaina, that's wonderful that you got to participate in the spelling bee. Yes, it's nerve-wracking to see your child up there...you want them to say everything right, but all we can do is try our best.
I was exited to be in the spelling bee, but also nervous. As mom said I got out on the word "cement", I was the first one to get out! It was fun...But I just wanted to win! My friends Jasmine and Grace were in there to, they were sitting next to me. Jasmine is the one with the crazy hair-do(She didn't do her hair she was so nervous!
