Christmas Program

 

The kids did a wonderful job at the church Christmas program this year.  I was very proud of them all and especially my kiddos.  The boys looked so handsome in their ties and Alaina and Cora looked so beautiful.  They bring me so much joy (:

I was so proud of Sawyer this year because he did all the actions and sang all the songs, plus he looked so cute up there!

Alaina played "Silver Bells" on her cello and sounded great!

Jonnie was Caesar Augustus and also looked good up there.

Sawyer was also a Dove for one of the songs-so cute!

Afterward we served a lasagna dinner.  It was another successful program!

And I love all of them so much.

First snow of the season!

Our first snowfall was supposed to be 1-3 inches, by instead we got 15 inches and blizzard conditions!  I'm not going to lie, I was pretty excited.  The best part was it was on a weekend and no one had to be anywhere and Jon didn't have to work.  So, I spent the day working on sewing projects and baking.  It was a wonderful day!

Since we had all this fabulous new snow, we just had to go out and get a Christmas card picture.  My favorite is Dex! The wind and snow were blowing in his face, but he just sat there calm as can be and eventually just shut his eyes-it was adorable!

Cora kind of enjoyed her first experience in the snow...it was just so cold and windy that we didn't last too long out there.

Putting up the tree

As you can see someone was a little excited!

As the kids were happily hanging ornaments on the tree, Cora was happily taking ornaments off the tree.   

 And here it is! They did a great job.

 We may not have many ornaments left on the tree by Christmas, but at least she can't take off the lights!  Well, I don't think she can anyway....

Kick off to Christmas!

Our first taste of the holidays usually starts with my Mother-in-laws work Christmas party.  It is a lot of fun with food, games, and picture with Santa.  We enjoyed ourselves like usual. 

The next event that usually follows is the Santa semi that rolls through our town.  The music is loud so you can't help but dance around! Always a good time (:

Alaina decided not to join us this year, but I did get a cute picture of the other three.

We also enjoyed hot cider, cookies, and a visit with Santa.

Her second time visiting Santa and though she doesn't cry, she really isn't loving it either.

Another great event to get us into the Christmas spirit!
